ISO 22000

Food safety management system which provides requirements for any organization in the food industry with objective to help to improve overall performance in food safety.

Halal Food

Halal is an Arabic term which means permissible. In Islamic terms, it means permissible according to the rules of Islam. It is most frequently referred to in regards to food, but it includes any type of action permissible in Islam.

ISO 17025

It enables laboratories to demonstrate that they operate competently and generate valid results, thereby promoting confidence in their work both nationally and around the world.

IFS Food

The International Featured Standard (IFS) is a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) benchmarked standard for manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, agents and brokers. IFS addresses food safety and management of product quality in:

  • Food and ingredient manufacturing
  • Food packaging manufacturing
  • Consumer products packaging
  • Storage, distribution, transportation and logistics

BRC Food

BRC is an international Food Safety Management Systems standard, and is one of the GFSI recognized certification schemes. It contains requirements for food processors to follow to build an effective food safety management system. There are also editions of the standard for food packaging manufacturers, storage and distribution and now agent and brokers.

The requirements of the standard address the key elements that must be in place for your organization to ensure production of safe product. BRC Certification is recognized by GFSI, an important consideration when choosing a certification scheme because many major manufacturers and retailers require a GFSI recognized certification. Other recognized certification schemes include FSSC 22000 and SQF.

FSSC 22000

It focuses on assuring food safety by defining, evaluating and controlling risks and hazards during processing, manufacturing, packaging, storage, transportation, distribution, handling or offering for sale or supply in any sector of the food chain.

  • Farming for meat, milk, eggs and honey (excluding trapping, hunting and fishing).
  • Manufacturing of food packaging and packaging material (for example, materials that have direct or indirect contact with the food).
  • Transport and storage services, including those across the food supply chain.

  • Consumer products packaging
